It is my pleasing duty to give my report on the National Eisteddfod Brass Band Contest which took place on Saturday 4th August in the Vale of Glamorgan.
To be crowned Eisteddfod 2012 section 4 champions is an achievement that I have been aiming for, for many a year. Even though we won Ebbw Vale Contest in 2011, this was not under my leadership on the day but that of Mr. Nigel Seaman.
The Eisteddfod was under my leadership and I am very proud of all my band members for their support, dedication and commitment. The work we have put in together so far this year has been one of true commitment. Everyone has worked as a team and we will continue to work as one team. The Euphonium duet was extremely well played. Well done brother & sister (Terry Wells & Natalie Rogers).
We have a new player coming into our band and I know this will make the band even stronger than we already are.
We now look forward to the Porthcawl Contest on Saturday 15th September to which we hope we can achieve the same standard as we did at the Eisteddfod on Saturday.
